Purpose Above Panic!

Without these multi-generational, meaningful forums that give voice, planning can lack intention and perspective, if you ever get around to planning at all. Let’s face it, most of us don’t enjoy discussing, death, dying, and disability.

The conversations before the drafting and planning are key! No; we don’t mean the listing of assets and identifying who gets what…when. We’re speaking of legacy defining conversations about your “why,” purpose, values, customs, and vision.

Do you Legacy on Purpose℠?

Do you Legacy on Purpose℠? Are you intentional about your strategies and plans or are you tripping through your planning running away from fear, death, dying, and disability and thoughts of the worse-case scenario?

More often than not, people of color fail to plan. We don’t trust the system, often based on outdated notions and unfounded fear. And when our concerns are with good reason, here’s the rub…when we fail to plan, share, include the generations, develop relevant strategy, write it down, implement and launch, we play right into those forces that are hoping we fail. Those forces ready to divide and conquer us for our land, tempt and distract generations from purpose-driven education and careers, coax us away from our farms, and legislate away our rights are expecting us to fail to plan, fail to connect with family and host meaningful conversations about legacy, and fail to organize “The Family Incorporated.”

Defining Legacy Method℠ conversations create an enduring plan, building on the generations that came before us. We plant the seed for the generations that come after us. We honor those who have shown us the way and taught us the strategies for survival, endurance, and growth.
